Hey Folks! Happy September! Yes indeed, the Wakayama's are happy, and it's September... in response to the title of this entry, no i'm not advertising 12 step plans for addictions, instead i'm referring to the little runt's ability to walk!
NIXON TOOK 12 STEPS BY HIMSELF YESTERDAY!!!
(woo hoo!!)
(woo hoo!!)
No props. No fingers. NO walls. No assistance.
Just his little drunk legs and his melt-in-your-mouth smile!

Those of you who don't know, my son hasn't walked on his own yet. And boy has this been humbling for his mommy (and co-author of the book- Top of the Class; How Asian Parents Raise High Achievers--and How You Can Too) All of his buddies his age, walked "years" ago! :) And I know I shouldn't compare.... but you start to wonder. Are his legs broken? Does he need leg braces like Forrest Gump? Will I carry him to Prom? And so on, and so on.
Anyway, I'll work on my bad habit of comparing... but in the meantime I'm celebrating like a fool that my little precious runt took 12 STEPS yesterday... and 22 today!!! :)

Thanks for all your prayers, Aunty Kim! And wiping all MY tears the days I doubted he would walk. :)
Firstborn. :)
First time Mom.
YEAH!!!! Look at him go. He is going to be lapping everyone soon!!!
I can't wait for cupcakes, they're my weakness :)
Your going to HATE this day in a month from now.
I'll let you borrow Deefor Dog's shock collar so he doesn't get off to far.
Watch out stairs, watch out open doors, look out pool, drop everything the runts on the loose.
Yay for Nixon! My kids were always so much happier when they could walk...now the exploring begins!
WOW he's a walking machine!!! That's awesome, way to go Nixon =)
