Pre-Schooler at HEART :)

My friend Rox gave Nixon a "Bible Answers for Preschoolers" book a couple of months ago. It's God's Word and prayers simply put for little ones. It's funny I've turned to it MORE as a Mommy because it's totally blessed ME! There's something about the truth in simple "baby" terms. :)

These two little prayers blessed me a lot this morning...

"Even when I can't be in charge of things that happen, God doesn't want me to worry-- He wants me to let Him take care of everything."

"Dear God, thank you for all the good things you give me. I love you, God! Amen."

I hope Nixon's willing to share this book with his Mommy because I don't see myself giving it up anytime soon! :)

*i do have a cute praying story about Nixon. the other day during his nap (we have a video monitor over his crib) i was peeking at him and noticed he was babbling, so i turned on the volume. after all his little squirmy movements around the crib, he turned over, folded his hands and said, "Dear Lord,... Dear Lord... Amen!" The "Amen" def. had an exclamation mark on it! Then he was out like a light!!! Isn't that so cute! I need to try that during the nights I am restless and can't sleep... pray! :) zzzzzz.

How perfect!!! The word of God NEVER returns void, even when put in the simplest of terms! I LOVE it!!!! AMEN! ;)

I also love Nix's own, self night, night prayer, soooo sweet! It truly shows what you guys are teaching him as parents! GREAT job!!!! I often need to be more like a little child in my walk with the Lord!!! :)
XOXO

I love this and what a great story about Nixon! He must be learning from your example. He is so blessed to have you for his parents. How precious!

God bless you friend! I love that first prayer too...what a great reminder! And I agree with Kim! The power is no weaker written in 'baby language'...amazing!

And oh my goodness...did that just make you melt in 'awe'...hearing your little boy pray? I don't think God was just talking about their uncomplicated faith when he talks about 'faith like a child'...they really KNOW that He's there. It's like they can see Him more than we can sometimes...Abbey just seems to have this total understanding of God. Crazy...I think he must sleep in her room at night. ;) They have campouts or something...

I love how sweet Nixon's little prayer was. We have a huge responsibility to teach our little ones about Jesus and lead by examples. Sounds like you and Yo are doing a wonderful job of this =) God is so good!!
