New Year's Resolutions

Well,... we make em'.
We break em'.
Now it's time to keep em'!
2008 is a time to make new attainable goals that will make us better people.
Or in my "Type A" case, making goals helps me feel better about myself if I can check something else off my "list." :)

Every year Yo and I make new goals; something to spice up our lives.
This year we chose some new ones.
Mine:
1. I don't like to run, but I'd like to be able to jog 3 miles. I used to be able to when I was in the Running Club at Loma. The kids and I ran 5k's a few times a year. If my good friend Jena can run a marathon (amazing!!!) and she absolutely hates to workout or run.... and my awesome brother runs marathons and 1/2 marathons all the time.. (it's in my blood, right?) I wanna be a runner. I want to enjoy it. I want to be able to just grab my Nikes and holler to Yo, "Hon, I'm going for a run, I'll be back in an hour!" (does it take an hour to run 3 miles?) So, here's my chance. 3 miles may sound like nothing to you, but believe me! It's a lot for me! :) I'd like to be able to jog the Thanksgiving 5k across the Coronado Bridge this year. Anyone wanna join me? (I've already recruited Yoichi, Nixon, my mom and dad--- ry? erin?)
2. I want to take a Mommy & Me class with Nixon. Maybe a swimming class (though I hate water! but how hard can it be if it's with your baby?), or a baby and mommy yoga class??? Something that he and I can do together!
3. I'd like to read 3 books this year, start to finish. I love to read! How come I don't do it more often? Or if I do, I never seem to FINISH the book. Sad. 3 this year. I can do it!
4. Last but not least, I am going to read and study a book of the Bible each month. I did this goal last year with Yoichi and the Nguyen's. It was soooo encouraging--- and at the end of each month we had a special dinner and discussed each chapter of the book we studied. Cheers to another 12books this year!

Now that I've shared mine. It's out there. I said it. Now I have to do it. I feel the need to meet these goals!
What about you?
Did you make any?
I'd like to hear em', because maybe I'll steal one of yours! :)

I love your resolutions :) My Goals -read through the Bible this year, like the year before last. Although, I love your focusing on a book. And, for me, consistent journaling. AND, here's a big one, I want to do a sprint (mini triathlon) in May. Not a big fan of running and I do not like cold water, so this will be challenging, but I'm excited to train for it. So, I may take you up on on your Thanksgiving Run offer :)

Happy New Year's to You!! Hope to see you soon.

Stop the buisyness in my life, there really is no need for it.

More fun less work.

Good for you on your goals!
I am no good at keeping resolutions.

Heard something great today, I've always felt it but didn't put it into words.

Buisnyness is a form of Lazyness. Being buisy fulfills the need to do, at the same time it deminishes the necessity to think and create true productivity.

Go ahead, you buisy bees, plan, plan, plan, do, do, do... Remember your being lazy by postponing critical thinking.
