Family Day on the Coast

After church today, we took a drive up the coast; making little stops at del mar, solana beach, encinitas, and lastly carlsbad. So beautiful! We love warm Summer days on the coast.

Flip-flops were mandatory attire.

Silly boys having fun!

We couldn't travel through San Elijo without stopping off at my ol fave donut shop. I can't believe it's still there! Growing up we camped at San Elijo a lot, we would sneak over for donuts all the time. Yum! Today we shared a chocolate eclair! Mm, MM... i can still taste it!

is the weekend really over? :(
let's just all go grab donuts and head to the beach!

VG's - Oh man... you have to tell me how to get there. I used to go there FOREVER ago with the people I worked with at Steppin' Out Urban Ministries. I always think about it but never think I could remember how to get there. Ok, so now that I am typing this, I am realizing that we ARE in 2008 - a year full of map quest, GPS and google. DUMB! But anyway - I know why you HAD to stop.

I had NO idea that for all of our lifetime of camping at San Elijo- you guys were, too! How did that never come up in conversation? Well- wish I would've known- we just went on a San Elijo camping trip in July- loved it!
